Description
The Last Cruise Ship

The sun over at Eastbourne looked so inviting we decided to get fish & chips and drive there to eat them on the beach. But by the time we arrived the sun was setting (and it was getting cold). But that meant we saw the Ruby Princess sailing through the heads and out to sea. She was the last cruise ship in Wellington. Earlier that day Jacinda Ardern had banned all cruise ships from coming to NZ because of Covid. The Ruby Princess, which had left Sydney in late February, sailed on to Napier, then back to Australia, where passengers were allowed to disembark despite displaying symptoms. 663 of the passengers later tested positive for Covid, resulting in an inquiry and police investigation. Beautiful photos and I love the journaling but it saddens me. Wonderful layout!

Interesting details about the ship and lovely photos caught at the magical time of day as the sun is setting.
