Journaling 160 words Christmas in the 70s. The family was gathered, Mom, Dad, Walter, Aunt Toni and Uncle Wolfgang. I got this wonderful, well equipped shop that I immediately prepared. I then waited for customers full of enthusiasm and hope. Unfortunately nobody came. The adults were busy with their conversation and the tree as well as my shop were standing in the hall - probably out of lack of space. Nobody paid any attention to me. After a while the tears were flowing. My face speaks volumes.
After a while they obviously notices what was wrong with me and felt pity. Walter volunteered to act as the customer. Oh, the joy! He came with his little basket a bought a small supply of food. You can see my relief and my eagerness. If I recall correctly later the others came as well to shop with me. But I never forgot that Walter was the first to have mercy.
This is just so sweet and the photos really tell the story. Your journaling is so heartfelt and I'm glad you finally got some customers. I like your word art usage too. Thanks for taking the heritage challenge!!
