This Christmas it was my intention to make presents for people. Cassie loves mermaids like I do, so I wanted to make her a watercolor mermaid drawing. It was a lot harder than I expected. At first, I tried to draw the whole mermaid, but after I painted the tail I totally messed up her body. There was absolutely no way I could fix her, but not for lack of trying. It was so frustrating! I have a Crayola Light Box that makes tracing and cleaning up my drawings much easier, so I thought I could do it. But once I painted the body flesh colored it looked horrible. So, snip. She only gets to have a tail. I cut it out and I really loved it. I wanted to make a collage and put it in a frame. So I had to look through every.single.piece. Of paper I own, which is a lot! I finally found the combination that would work. Cassie loved it. So all the hard work and frustration worth it. Wait. What I meant to say is I drew and painted this mermaid’s tail with one hand tied behind my back and my eyes closed. It was super easy. I don’t even have to think about things while I draw Them. I never, ever mess up.
