Independence Day has always been a time of celebration with friends and family. We have many wonderful memories of going to fireworks displays in Minnesota. We would lay our blankets together, have a picnic and enjoy the evening until the big show. We also always enjoyed our family Independence Day party. The entire day was spent playing games, including the infamous scavenger hunt. The kids always had a piñata. We had hot dogs, burgers and pot luck dishes. It was always nice to talk to family members whom we rarely saw any other time. Once we moved to Colorado, we were on our own. We never went to a fireworks show in Denver; we just got a spot high on a hill and watched the multitude of fireworks show from a distance. In Fort Collins, we discovered the fireworks in Old Town. We got to the park early to get a good seat. Then we sat back and enjoyed the beauty. I tried out my new camera. I set it on a tripod and used the Live feature to get the look I wanted. I had to make sure I looked up and not through the view finder! I love the photographs. They provide a beautiful record of this special day. Happy Birthday, America!
Your photography is amazing! And I loved reading the journaling - great storytelling. And that curved template is just perfect here. Wonderful page! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
