The Last Time
I had decided the move from the "family home" of over 50 years would be on April 30. After all, it was exactly 10 years earlier that I had worked my last day at a job I'd loved for 30 years. May 1, 2009 - my first day of retirement. May 1, 2019, my first day in my new condominium. That morning, I got up in the dark to let the dog out, slipped on a desk mat that had been pushed up against a kitchen cabinet, and
FELL.
The Last Time
I've been without pain.
