As almost every year we spent our holidays in Normandy where my parents lived.
The Mont St Michel which is a few kilometers from my parents' house, was one of our favorite walks, it is a remarkable fortified medieval town with a large abbey.
Mont Saint Michel is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
But that year in July 2009, my husband climbing the narrow streets of the city, caught a sprain, we had to leave the next day and so I had to drive all the way back to Nice. I do not have a good memory of this trip
