the lightning bolt is a cool shape to begin with because real lightning is always so different looking and so this shape has so much potential to stretch and distort etc. i can see the puppet warp bend, and my mind is trying to think of all the says you could use puppet warp to make the custom shape lightning look like everything from a bulging super hero logo to super skinny and long, a bit smoother or more jagged - you've got me thinking! love how the clouds and purple haze back your lightning and even if u don't think it did them justice, i like your pics! i think half of good lightning photography is luck!
