Journaling: I’ll never be who I was before my accident but as the years go by, I find I don’t miss her that much. I’ve adjusted to my new normal and while I sometimes vent about not being able to do all the things I used to do, I’m more aware of my body and pain. I’m kinder with myself, more willing to take breaks or to just say “No” to things. And while there are parts of me that are still somewhat broken, I’m finding that overall I’m better than I was before. 1/31/205
