Description
Lynne-Marie - Mellow

my cousin posted this picture on facebook! I had tears in my eyes ... My god, it's a treasure flowing into his attic ... the wooden plaque of my grandfather's medical office and ... his bowl on which he engraved the cities in which he passed during the war 40-45!
My grandfather crossed Belgium, to arrive in France and cross the English Channel. In England, his career took him to London. Returning to France, he walked to St Brieuc, Nantes, Le Mans, ... Paris. Final destination: Liège. Some of these cities have always made me dream with a desire to visit but this time, these places do not give me that feeling. I am moved ... I knew my grandfather had left during the war and my grandmother and her children were alone. But seeing this object gives another dimension to this story, to our story ...
I had a hard time reading, because of tears in my eyes. What a treasure and your words so filled with pride and love.

This is just wonderful and what a great photo and reminisces. People come down on Facebook but what a boon to memory-keeping it was in this instance. Your paper selection is perfect here. Thanks for joining the heritage challenge.
