my cousin posted this picture on facebook! I had tears in my eyes ... My god, it's a treasure flowing into his attic ... the wooden plaque of my grandfather's medical office and ... his bowl on which he engraved the cities in which he passed during the war 40-45!
My grandfather crossed Belgium, to arrive in France and cross the English Channel. In England, his career took him to London. Returning to France, he walked to St Brieuc, Nantes, Le Mans, ... Paris. Final destination: Liège. Some of these cities have always made me dream with a desire to visit but this time, these places do not give me that feeling. I am moved ... I knew my grandfather had left during the war and my grandmother and her children were alone. But seeing this object gives another dimension to this story, to our story ...
