"huyentrang43" is such a boring nickname I think.
Yes Huyen Trang is my real name (Trang is my first name and Huyen is the middle one but in Vietnam we usually introduce ourselves like that instead of the first and last name). Back in 1988, there was a famous movie that my parents really liked. The main role was a female soldier who disguised herself as a monk named Huyen Trang. When I was born, I had no hair so my parents immediately associated me with that character because she had a shaved head. My parents said that as that movie and character had been so famous, many girls born during that time had been named like me.
Fast forwarding to when I entered university, I decided to sign up a new email address with a more “mature” username to replace all the old weird ones I had during teenage years and huyentrang43 just came to my mind. I don’t know about other places but in Vietnam it’s really popular to create a username by combining our names with birth date or birth year. After that, I have been used that same username for all websites just to remember them easily.

I always find it boring but I’m too lazy to find a new nickname. Now I have an English name (Emma) which I really like (it’s another long story) and I like to be called like that.​
