The name Chey came about as I was looking for a name to use online, as I ventured into this thing called the internet. The "app" of choice, at that time, was "ICQ". A place you could meet other people from all around the world. Fun times! I even met some people that to this day remain close friends. I never had a nickname growing up, as my name is short already, so I had to come up with one.
Chey is short for Cheyenne. Not a usual name in Norway, where I'm from, but my love for the name actually came from watching the Renegade, back in the 90s. LOL One of the main characters was named Cheyenne, and I snatched it! I thought it played well with how Cheyenne is pronounced [shy-ANN], being that I am very shy. Little did I know, that when you shortened it, the pronunciation changed to [sh ai]. Oh well.
