my journaling: During our trip through Minas Gerais, we had a surprise: we found a street named Alexandre Bacil, which was right next to our hotel! The general astonishment was that I discovered this via GPS and because it had the same surname as my sister, that is, he was a relative on her paternal side. I took a photo and told her everything on the same day, and really, this man was a great-uncle, great-grandfather or something like that, because when her relatives arrived in Brazil from Syria, they went to Minas Gerais, and I didn't really remember that story, probably because it's not directly my family story...Alexandre Bacil was a soap merchant and industrialist, according to Google. This really left us thinking about people's connections in life, how things are interconnected, even the theory of 6 degrees of separation entered our conversations and anyway... the trip continued and São Jão Del Rey is beautiful, like every historical city of Minas Gerais, it holds the History of the
existence of Brazil, with wealth and sadness at the same time, because of slavery...
Absolutely magical and amazing page. I love the clusters, especially with the paint chip. You family connection is seriously cool here. Love your photos, that graffiti art is fab. I might need to buy that stamped alpha!
What an awesome story! So many connections to generations we will never know! Your page is gorgeous. Love the way things are split by the stitching and yet so cohesive. Great job!
