MOC 13 - 05 - Recipe

Description
I've had a note on my scrapbooking spreadsheet since the blog hop that I wanted to make a page about myself with this kit. I'm so glad that I finally got a chance to, especially since it's so much more optimistic than what I would have made back then.

Made with Lost collaboration (blog hop) from the Lilypad Designers
I also grabbed a stitching element from the Yes collaboration (blog hop)

RECIPE:
1. One plain light background paper - think pale, but any color. Peach background paper
2. Add 2 more patterned papers to the layout - any way you want, any pattern or color. Painted damask and carnation arrows
3. Blend some paint, splatter, or gesso to any of the papers on your layout. Paint under photo, blended into background paper (2 layers)
4. Photos - let's add up to 3 photos, they can be framed or not, it's up to you. Minimum 1 photo, Maximum 3 photos. One photo, framed
5. Place 4 pieces of foliage on your layout. 3 leaves and a branch
6. Lay at least 5 or more flowers onto your foliage. The flowers must touch foliage in some way. 5 flowers exactly
7. Add up to 3 additional elements - stickers, stitches, postage stamps, etc. Anything goes here. Torn envelope, stitching, camera
8. Add one sentence of journaling, one word art, a title and a date. Word art is the card tucked under the frame. Title is "finding my way" strip. Sentence contains a semi-colon to unite the two phrases but neither one can stand on its own. Date sort-of blends into paint.
Super fun. I love how you used the three papers that you added...so cute. Great cluster surrounding that cute photo!

Love your use of a camera, I know how much cameras are a part of you & your life. Also, I hope I remember your layout next time I get a direction to use two patterned papers. Great work.

So glad I could inspired you. And I *had to* use the camera. I sacrificed a different element so I could have it and I'm so glad I did.

A good reminder for everyone. We are always the worst to ourselves! Love the flowers and the thick wood frame! Great patterns and bright colors!

I really love your journaling and I totaly relate to it! Super fun photo and the use of wooden frame with the flowers and camera.
