My 22 year old middle son has been traveling in Japan on his own for 10 months now. This is a wooden veneer temple that he sent us as a gift for Sinterklaas. It took us 2 hours to put it all together. Now it stands on the windowsill and when I look at it, I have to think about him...
Such a serene view of your window sill. What a wonderful reminder of your son. I enjoyed your journaling and especially about it taking 2 hours to assemble -- probably without instructions or if so, they were in Japanese.
Such a great ornament and gift - it's photographed really well. I like that the photo is the star of the page but the textured layers and elements add unobtrusive interest.
