oh wow, Barbara your storytelling is fantastic. I can almost smell the smell, and I can definitely see you and Grandmother in the kitchen together. Lovely lovely journaling and the photo is just beautiful! Makes me want to grind something in a mortar and pestle (however my son used it outside to make natural dyes one summer with some plants and I never bought a new one!) Love this!

Oh Cardamom is my favourite spice and I agree with you that you need the pods or seeds to crush yourself. I'll have to look up this bread recipe. It sounds divine. Wonderful page!!

I honestly adore everything about this page! Your journaling...oh my gosh! That is a precious memory. I just bought my first mortar and pestle and I am so excited to use it...in fact, I have some whole cardamom in the cupboard...I am inspired to grind some today with my new tool and smell it. LOVE!
