the original photo is dark and with such a weird coloring, this is Julia, my God-Dughter Anamiris\' daughter- She rarely smiles for the camera, so I thought salvaging this photo was great here is the original
oh this is beautiful Cynthia! So glad you were able to salvage, and I love it in B/W better anyway love the gray/ black & white follow through of paper and elements for consistency of the page, the trim border on the left with the bits of stitching and flower and frame clustering, just beautiful! the wave like shape at the bottom gives the page such movement too. Julia is a beautiful girl with a beautiful smile. I know your Goddaughter will love this page of her daughter!
Cynthia! So happy to see your pages in the gallery again. ((hugs))
The b/w conversion definitely saved this photo... and by the sound of it, it's a great rescue, since the smile photos are so few and far between. I am always amazed at all of the pieces you are able to pull and coordinate from so many kits. This page is precious!! <3
You did fabulous with your photo save. Love all the white space and all the florals tucked under your photo! Black and white pages always seem more dramatic to me too, and this is no exception.
I am with you on the back shadowing of my pics...i love the picture so much but the back shadowing just ruins it...and I love that you chose this photo to do because it is a rare thing and thats what makes it so much more precious and heartful...amazing job...i love it!
