I can't translate my journaling directly as I am not sure you have the same variation in English as we have in Danish. But in short I write about the fact that colleagues would often comment on how I changed after I changed my last name. Before my initials were JO which is a more vague version of yes and after it became JA which is YES directly translated. In fact so many things happened that year apart from me changing my name that it might be correct that I seemed more determined afterwards. My last name means the world to me and is a daily reminder that my father despite being gone for more than a decade is always by my side.
