I hope you enjoy the goofy story I created about a new Christmas ornament I added to my tree-topped vehicle collection. This awesome template set of Lynn's comes in both 12x12 & 8.5x11, but I easily resized the smaller template to 6x8. I'm going to print it & put it in my hybrid December Daily 2019 album.
STORY:
A raging winter blizzard is a rare occurrence in Texas, but it does happen, as one North Texas family found out. Last weekend, the Dallas area was pummeled by a record-breaking snowfall. According to the National Weather Service, over 20 inches of snow fell, making the roadways virtually impassable. John Doe, a spokesman for the Dallas Street Service Department said, “We tried to clear the streets as quickly as we could, but we’re not used to this type of weather. We were unprepared for such a calamitous event.”
The Smith family was also unprepared. Jim and Jane Smith, along with their two children, Darby and MoMo, wanted to start off their holiday season with a visit to the Hogsmeade Christmas Tree Farm. After purchasing their tree and mounting it to the roof of their pink RV, they disappeared. Jim’s father, Dumbledore Smith, reported the family missing after they failed to return home from their outing. As temperatures dipped well below zero, fear for the family grew.
Authorities reported the family’s vehicle was located in a snowbank approximately 3 miles south of the farm by a snowplow driver, who was clearing Highway 555. They were able to lift the family free by wrapping a giant red and white piece of baker’s twine around their vehicle. “We’re just so happy that our Christmas tree wasn’t damaged from our ordeal,” said Jane Smith.
