Journaling: While Avery was at her freshman orientation at JWU, Curtis and I drove to Newport, Rhode Island to do the Cliff Walk. It was about a half-hour drive from the college. When we got there, it was such a relief to see the ocean! However, as we started on our walk up the hill toward the start of the cliff walk path, the briny smell of the ocean was really strong. Luckily, once we were past a certain point, all you could smell were wild roses and honeysuckle that were growing along the path. It was a beautiful day. I took so many pictures! The view of the ocean from way up on the cliffs as well as the mansions was just breathtaking!
