The name Melidy came about around 11 years ago when Phill and I were first dating. It was just a silly pet name we started calling each other. He called me Melidy I called him Phillidy. We don’t really use these pet names much in everyday life now, we do occasionally but not very often. However, when I first entered the Digital Scrapbooking Community all those years ago it became my username, it became what people recognised me as and so eventually, it also became the name of my business. Lots of my customers and online friends now call me Melidy thinking it’s my actual name, which doesn’t bother me in the slightest. If anything I kinda love it when they do. Not only does it bring back lots of memories from the early years of mine and Phill’s relationship, but it also has it’s own new meaning now, with it’s own subset of people calling me it. I love that!
