Meeting Princess Annika

Journaling says: The day that I finally got to meet and hold my niece Annika was one of the best days of my life. The pregnancy had been full of ups and downs. The scariest day was when we thought that Emily had a miscarriage. The fear turned to joy when the doctor heard her heartbeat. Each week she stayed in the womb was a reason to rejoice. Once she made it to 39 weeks it was time to plan on meeting the little princess. She was born in the middle of the night, but as soon as I heard her cry I was wide awake. My heart melted when I finally got to see her face. She was so beautiful! It was an unforgettable moment. The best though was when I got to hold her. She was so small, so precious. It had been such a difficult journey hat to finally hold her was a tremendous blessing. I was so very thankful to be her Aunt. I look forward to every chance I get to see her. And as she grows and changes, this is one moment that I will always remember and cherish.
