Journaling:
My mother was an important person in my life, despite the large age difference. She had me when she was forty years old. My mother and I almost never argued, not even during my teenage years; instead, we were considerate of each other and perhaps also understood each other in a way that neither IngaLena nor Pia-Karin probably did. Both my mother and I loved taking walks in nature, and it was largely from her that my interest in nature came. My interest in history was sparked by hearing about what life was like for my mother when she was young—imagine, it’s only one generation between having to leave home and become a maid at age thirteen and being able to pursue higher education and live at home for as long as you like. I believe my mother would have been a well-educated person if she had grown up today, with the opportunities now available regardless of gender or class.
Beautiful page and beautiful tribute to your mom Ann-Sofie. I enjoyed learning more about her through your journaling so thank you for translating it. I’m impressed you almost never argued and wish I could say the same for me and my mom and me and my girls lol I love all the neutrals you used with the b&w photo.
What a wonderful page Ann-Sofie of your sweet Mom. I loved reading your journaling and so glad you had that special bond with her. I loved reading about the special times you shared together and where you got some of your traits and love of nature from. Beautiful page in those neutral colors Love it! Thank you for playing along with the May Journaling Challenge!
