My son is 23 and had his 1st girlfriend recently. She was a closet alcoholic and took him through the wringer! He tried to help her, and it wound up hurting him. You want your children to be sympathetic and understanding, but when your grown son is crying, it breaks your heart! Seems like the good guys in the world are the ones taken advantage of. It's so cool you scrapped this event in his life. He can move on now and find much better, and take the lesson learned with him! Good luck to him!
