- This is for Pink Reptile Design's April Blog Challenge. I turned my photo into a dotted half tone (more pop-art) style.
I boosted the color and contrast way up with HDR-ish, then took the saturation down (because it was garishly bright after that.) Then I added a Cinemascope filter, which evened things out. Then I added a glow for a dreamy look. Then I did the comicbook edit - which adds dots and a pop art look. I did cross-process to make the colors look more pug-like, and then did comic again for a more pop-art look.

Taran, you stole my heart. I was never a dog person. I was afraid of big dogs from past experience and thought all little dogs were yappy and annoying. Some were cute, but pugs were creepy and I tried to talk Angie out of getting one, because I heard that their eyes could pop out, EEEWWW! But then I met you in 2006, a little less than ten years ago. You were adorable. You had the softest ears ever and the most expressive brown eyes. You still do. And dogs are so needy. That one is definitely true. If you looked up needy in the dictionary, it would be your sweet mug. And you can be annoying as hell. But, hey, so can I. And crazy. but it takes one to know one. We are your pack and you are sure you are human - or we are weird, upright dogs who get to eat whatever we want and it's totally not fair! You are 10 years old this month. Lorne Green might have said your were "98 to your and me," on a commercial a long time ago, or not. What I mean is your age is catching up with you. You have arthritis in your hind legs - hips. You are in pain a lot. And when you aren't- you are on pain pills. Or sleeping. Or both. Puppy power is few and far between.. I'm worried about you, and how much pain you are in when your pain pill wears off. I love you so much, Puppy.
