Rachel Jefferies: Assembles Folio Kit.
I am so pleased because I thought the summer of Monarch butterflies was a loss. I have only released one so far. I have three butterfly enclosures inside right now. Enclosure one has a chrysalis, and possibly and egg. Enclosure 2 has a brand new chrysalis and a caterpillar (I was about to give up and clean that one out when I found the caterpillar and the second was a surprise), enclosure 3 has 2 possible eggs. Some butterfly enthusiasts say to raise them outside in the elements in the enclosure. Some say to plant the milkweed and let nature take it's course and then there's people who bring the enclosures indoors to raise them. One reason, I keep the caterpillars away from the eggs is because the caterpillar could eat the egg with the leaves. Doing this brings me joy but I will change it if it's not helping the Monarchs.
@mocamom I love that your daughter raises butterflies also. She's an earth hero. Thank you so much. @Smwhite Thank you so much. I am so thrilled to find more people who want to save the Monarchs.
