The first time I saw a macaron, it was in a photo in my food photography class. I had never seen such a beautiful cookie!
Then, one day as I was wandering through the bakery at Publix, I saw them sitting in a case. So many colors! I couldn’t resist buying some and practicing my photography at home. Photos above.
Then, I had to taste one.
Oh. My. Goodness!
How delicious!
Soon, I was scouring Pinterest for a good recipe. I finally found one in a book I ended up purchasing on Amazon and now I can’t wait to make them myself.
It truly was love at first sight!

Beautiful photos! I enjoyed your journaling as well. My daughter and I made some for a French class project. They didn't look as beautiful as these, but they tasted good!
Mmmm love them too, although apparently it is rather an art to get them right (so I stick to the patisserie purchased ones). I also love the sound of the food photography class (I used to attend the photography sessions when I worked for a food manufacturer, the tips and cheats were amazing)! Anyhow, I digress, loving the use of the pocket, stitching and vertical/centrally placed journaling. Great page.
Nice!!! My daughter has tried several times to get them looking as good as the bakery ones. It is hard! Love the neutral papers with the bright colored photos.
