oh this is a terrific page! I love the big title, and it really expresses the newspaper photo and caption very well. Love the vintage retro feel here, that the actal newpaper article is captured here and all the papers you chose, the alphas and all you used for your title work.. well done and great vintage page. Those leaves tucked under the photo are the perfect accompanyment. It gives it that "real" feeling.
Thank you, Ladies! That was a very sad loss. Old Main was built in 1908. All the school trophies were in that building. They later took them and if I remember right, they melted them down to create a statue or something for the new school when they built it a few years later. My class was the last class to graduate from there before the fire.
I'm sure they would. This was really a big thing when it happened. There were only two high schools in town at that time. Mesa High and Westwood High. This fire started in the science lab and it was on a Sunday night. You could see the smoke for miles.
