Journal : From April 17th to May 18th - wow a full month in total ! - I will be travelling here and there with 3 different groups of visitors. The first group is my best friend from university and her big sister. Before she told me she planned to come I already had visitors planned for that month. I waited more than 25 years that she comes to visit me here in Japan and she chooses that time? lol She did want to celebrate both of us becoming 50 in 2024 so I can’t be mad at her te he he. Well, I won’t be able to be with them all the time but at least I’ll be there from their arrival day and we will spend some time together for the next few days. She lives in Montreal now so it’s quite the distance to come here. Her sister will come from Paris. Second group is my best friend from high-school and her younger son. She was the first one to contact me last year to plan their visit. I can’t wait to bring her back here and show her my home. There will be a lot of driving around involved but I hope her and her son won’t be too bored. I need to start thinking visits so that they are both satisfied of their Japanese trip. Finally, the day I say bye to my high-school friend, my mum and one of aunts arrive at the airport. At first, I did ask my mum to come in the Fall when she told me she wanted to come. But after some thinking, and since I was already planning to be at Narita Airport anyway, I said OK for Spring! We will be able to celebrate her 75th birthday too so that’s nice. My friend will probably take the plane my mum will have come with lol. From there, some more driving but with sightseeing and hotel breaks so that I don’t feel too overwhelmed. We’ll go back home over 3 days so it should be ok. I plan to visit Hiroshima and a few other places I haven’t been yet too.
Even though I know it’s going to be tough time and energy-wise, there are definitely a lot of things to look forward to!
wow -you will be busy, i hope there is some down time for you among all that but it can be fun being a tourist in your own backyard essentially too - love the polka dot land masses and passport cluster!
I love the big map -- especially with the arcs showing where your visitor are traveling -- and all the journaling! You are going to be a busy woman with all those visitors but that sounds wonderful!
