i'm going to have to google this word! what do they taste like? so cool to learn about a new fruit ... i love the big photo as the backgrd with the lowered opacity!
@jenn mccabe hmm, describing the taste is a hard one - they are white on the inside - and milky looking, but fruity in texture, almost like a grape, but firmer - and SOO SWEET - I LOVE them - my kids hate all the effort of peeling the skins off (they are bark like almost, but very thin.) but they will gobble them up when I peel them for them - and they are everywhere right now. like nothing they have in the US at all. @misslovescraps can you give a better description of the taste?
@mimisgirl where did you get it from? Have it chilled!! Peel it and put it in the fridge. @jenn mccabe it's way better than grapes.. LOL!!! Kinda like grapes but the texture is slightly different. It's really sweet.
@misslovescraps they are from our neighbor. He has two trees and every year he brings us bunches as they rippen. Yup. I peel then after he brings them and keep them in the fridge for us to snack on. So good in this hot weather eh? And sooo much better than grapes.
@misslovescraps I am so looking for these next time I visit Chinatown in NYC. I googled it and apparently they have them there! But visiting you in Asia would be way cooler!
@jenn mccabe they wont taste quite the same because they have to ship them unripe. They will be less sweet and a tad more bland but they will give you the general idea. Hope you find them!!
