Journaling:
The spring of 2020, and probably beyond, will be fodder for birthday stories for generations. Logan turned 12 on March 21. His family is in the top 1% of socializing people, so with the quarantine brought on by COVID-19, this could have been a disaster. Instead his family rallied around him to make it a memorable and fun-filled day. They celebrated with pancakes, a dance party, and ice cream cake by the fire. Andy and Julie are protecting their children from fearfulness, depression and boredom or feeling sorry for themselves, while making sure they understand the gravity of the situation. As is often said, “it is what it is.” Never has that been so true as now. But the Lambs are rising to the occasion. Although everyone wishes this were past, the Lambs are making the best of “what is.”
