Aww, that is such a heartfelt story - definitely bittersweet. I love that you mention looking at the photo often - but not really seeing it. It makes me go back in time and think about friendships lost too. I danced when I was your age and even have a costume so very similar. I'm sure almost all of us can relate to this.
