Leviathan (MOC#6-13)

Description
JOURNALING: This up to 25 feet tall sculpture winds 100 feet up the center of the staircase connecting Seaport Boulevard and World Trade Center Avenue viaduct. The stainless steel mesh accentuates the path, while maintaining a light and airy presence.

Wendy Ross designed this fanciful sea creature by drawing from the maritime history and lore of the area. It was installed in 2001-2002.

It is a very interesting piece of sculpture that is sort of out-of-the-way. You really need to be looking for it to notice it, I think. LOVE the color palette of this layout. It seems very spring-like, which, with the temps./snow/ice we just had gives one hope for the future (LOL).:cheer
