Advice to future self: do NOT fly whilst pregnant, especially if it’s twins! I was incredibly uncomfortable the whole time we were in the air, and it didn’t ease up for a while after we landed. The short haul flights weren’t quite so bad - a bit of discomfort here and there, but the long haul flights were brutal... I was constantly trying to move into a comfortable position and relieve the feeling of a pressure mounting up in my tummy, which got particularly bad during take off and landing. The pressure stuck with me for hours, it was only when Phill and I were in bed later that night that I felt a weird “pop” and finally started to feel some relief. So, future me, remember you being pregnant and flying don’t get on, you aren’t friends, don’t do it again! And if for whatever reason you absolutely NEED to fly again while pregnant, at least book a direct flight!
