Thank you for choosing my page to lift! But let me tell you a secret: my yarn was actually yellow! I was making a Minion amigurumi. I recolored it to match the kit! Shhhh!
It's a great kit, isn't it? I love how you added a strip of paper at the bottom, and the clusters at the top are a delight.
Michele, Congrats on your knitting achievements. My sister tried to teach me and I was just not in the mood, plus it bothers me the idea of dropping a stitch.
@Dalis I actually learned how to knit in a class at Joanne's in 2011 but after that year I never picked up knitting needles again until last month. It has made such a difference having a mentor I see twice a week who is so experienced she easily fixes my mistakes and explains things very well.
There used to be a group here at the local library of little old ladies that knitted and crochet but the age gap was too big and apparently I was not doing some things the "right way". I taught myself crochet using books.
@Dalis That's a shame. From the start my knitting mentor has been showing me different ways and letting me choose how to do it. Kudos to you for learning from a book!
