I'm so glad that I gave my mom this surprise birthday party. I made photo props, angel food cake cupcakes, and favors. She was so funny because she told me she didn't want a party and I told her "you're getting one and I'm going all artsy fartsy on you" Artsy Fartsy was something my dad used to say.
In true fashion, she warmed up to after the waitress brought her tea with booze in it.
@norton94 Thank you, I should have put the year on this page, it was 8 years ago. My mom passed away this December. Sigh. Another reason to be glad we celebrated. I also gave her an 88th birthday party at her nursing home.
Great page! This just screams happiness!! And I love that you pushed her to enjoy that significant birthday! Thanks for playing along in the Kim Jensen March challenge!
Sweet page, and I know it brought you comfort as you scrapped this Val. Your Mom was a beautiful woman and so glad you celebrated that with her. My brother and I did a 75 for my Dad. It means a lot to them and to yourself to be able to make their day special. So glad you have this memory! Beautifully scrapped! Sending hugs!
Such a sweet birthday page. So nice that you made a big deal of her birthday, and love the frame that you created for taking photos with. So sorry for your loss. I hope making this page gave you some comfort.
