Journal : Apparently there are even more KitKat flavors in Japan than I thought. There are at least 47 as for the prefectures of Japan. One flavor for each prefecture (melon for Hokkaido, Apple for Aomori, Cherry Blossom for Fukushima...). It’s fun but sometimes not super tasty. I remember trying the sake flavor in Kyoto but wasn’t convinced. I’m not sure I’ll go for the wasabi flavored one either .
Japanese people adooore seasonal stuff, time-limited things, “you can only buy it here” stuff.I’m no different and I had to try this seasonal salty lemon KitKat. Well, I enjoyed it and I will
probably eat it again next year.
Another fun fact is that the pronunciation of KitKat in Japanese ressembles the words “surely win” (kitto katsu) and KitKat is sometimes offered to highschoolers taking on university entrance exams.
What about you?! What flavor would you like to try?
That's so crazy that there are so many KitKat flavors in Japan! I'm not sure I'm adventurous enough to try to many flavors lol. I don't think I'd go for the wasabi flavor either! This is such a fun page!!
super interesting to learn about the flavors in Japan!! I've seen a few different options here in Brazil but not like that, just some more "normal " ones...love the design of your page with cool the patterns mixed here!
This layout is so cool, and highlights your photo perfectly! I think I would love a lemon flavored kit kat! Now I feel like I need to plan a trip to Japan and make a point to go to the grocery store looking for fun new flavors of familiar snacks lol
