ohhh I thought you been to Egypt and I was gonna comment about how impressed I was with Abu Symbel (Left hand side photo) when we went.... I was pregnant with Sarita, so almost 28 years ago, she kept saying we need to go to Vegas, I tell her Egypt is cheaper for us LOL
The page is GORGEOUS!!!!! no surprise here.... you always wOw us!!!
super huge huggzz, so glad to be able to be around a more consistently now!
@MrsPeel OH, I wish it was really in Egypt. I fear that is a dream that will never come true, so seeing these replicas are at least a little bit helpful to my yearning heart! LOL
@Pachimac You know I thought I would never be able to get there... but miracles happen!!! We did it with a tour, so we had a guide. Every place, even when in the bus going from one place to the other or in the cruise, the guide would say: "this is blah blah, and the legs are at The British Museum" or "This is blah blah and the arm is at the British Museum".... so Andy (my husband) like a true Brit... once stood up ands said to her...well, I would have saved me a lot of money seeing all those parts at 15 minutes from our home! LOL It is truly amazing, we did it : 3 days in Cairo's Sheraton, then flying to Assam to see the dam, from there a tiny air craft to Abu Symbol which is the most impressive construction I have seen in my entire life apart from our Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janiero, then 7 days cruise down the Nile and 4 days in Luxor's Sheraton.... it wasn't cheap but we thought after having a baby we would not really be travelling... there are relatively cheap trips from London, but I understand for you must be a longer and probably more expensive trip...but, I am the living proof that miracles happen, hope one day you can!!!! But that exhibition looks absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
