Journaling: My given name is Kimberly. My dad was a teacher and had a student with that name and he really liked it. My parents did not give me a middle name. They thought girls didn’t need one since they would eventually get married and wouldn’t need so many names. I was called Kimberly or Kim growing up. My family...Kimberly, my friends...Kim. That is still true today. I have aquired a few more names since then. My husband calls me dear. My kids call me mom. My grandkids call me grandma. I wanted them to call me Nainai which is the Chinese word for for grandma, but no one but me liked it. I love all my names.
