I'm working on a project to create family yearbooks with a month-by-month overview. Each volume covers one year of our marriage, starting with July 1 - the day after our wedding - and running through the following June 30th (our wedding anniversary). I'm trying to keep them very simple with minimal embellishments so I can put them together quickly. I've got 8 years to catch up on...! This is the cover and title page for volume #7.

@jk703 - Aw, thank you! My husband gets all the credit for the genetics in how gorgeous his kids are. His boys have slowly warmed to the idea of our blended family, and they're more willing to participate in group photos than they were in the early days of our marriage (as evidenced by their presence, or lack thereof, in the earlier volumes' covers). It helps that I'm flexible about what they wear. I just give them one color (in this case, royal blue) and ask that they mix it with black, white, grey, or denim. We've got one hipster and one slacker, plus my fashionista stepdaughter, and I figure it's more fun to have their genuine personality show in the photos. Then I just set up the backdrop and lights in my home studio, tether my camera to my computer so I can see the images as we shoot them, pose them, and join the group with my remote. The fact that the whole thing takes less than 15 minutes fits with their short patience span, too.
I am so impressed that you do all this! I have a great camera and have never used the timer or tethered it to my computer. Love the results - Great family pictures!
