Back in August 2013 we finally visited Congressional Cemetery to see the goats do their yearly vegetation cleanup. It was a horribly hot & humid day which did not bother the goats or the many dog walkers. The cemetery is a special spot for many LGBT people because of this heartbreaking tombstone.
We said we’d be back in cooler weather but somehow never did.
(The tombstone reads - When I was in the military, they gave me a medal for killing two men and a discharge for loving one.) A Gay Vietnam Veteran.
Oh, my! Powerful journaling and message. Interesting story about the goat "clean-up". That must have been fun to watch. And I love that you captured the one black goat along with the others.
I might suggest goats next time they call for volunteers fro the annual clear up of the old cemetery at the end of the road. Great story telling and page
@Angela Toucan There are several companies in the Washington DC area who rent out their goats for just this kind of thing. It was amazing to watch them chomp chomp chomp away with no noise and no pollution.
Great assortment of pics and journaling. We definitely need some goats here, but I think we've got the wrong zoning. Another 1/2 acre and we'd have it. Dang!
