I encouraged you to join FFA this year. I thought it would be a good
experience for you. I never dreamed that it would transform you as
it has. You started out the year as a timid freshman. I knew you had
so much to offer, but you were hesitant to put yourself out there.
You joined the Agriculural Communications team. At the time we
really didn’t know what you were getting into. A lot was expected.
The previous two teams had won state. For months your team
worked to create your media plan, practice your presentation and
studied for editing exams. When the time came, you were ready.
The youngest Ag Comm team ever from Lincoln County placed
first at the state convention. More than the outcome which I am
so proud of, I am proud of the journey you have made. Over the
months I watched that timid freshman transform into a confident
young women.
