Journal Cards Challenge: Detroit Boat Club

Description
Papers, elements from Blue Skies Ahead by Lynn Grieveson. Journal card by me, for Lynn's Designer Challenge for March 2021, using same kit. Postcards from Detroit Historical Society.

In case anyone is interested, the text from the back of the 1910 postcard reads: "The Detroit Boat Club is one of the most exclusive social and athletic organizations in Detroit. Its handsome home on Belle Isle near the bridge was erected in 1902 to replace one destroyed by fire. The building is one of the finest of its kind in the world. Its members enjoy unusual facilities for their favorite sport of rowing, which they combine with sailing and canoeing. Their balls feature the summer in Detroit society. In front of the bridge entrance to the club is one of the finest flower beds on the Island."
Wow, this looks like a great place to visit. I love the postcards, the text on the back and the ladies in their 1910 attire. Nice design, great background and good use of your personally created journal card to complete this lovely layout. Thanks for participating in the Stretch Your Stash challenge!

This must have been a great experience! the old postcards add so much to the layout and hopefully one day the Boat Club will be part of a city revival. Thanks for sharing the story!

You made quite the collection of journal cards!!! Swoon! And I love how you incorporated one of the cards in your layout for the "storytelling". Great additional postcards. I've used vintage postcards in my heritage layouts, now I need to rethink that to use some of them in my more modern pages. Thanks for the inspiration. :-)
