I still can't believe you are not here anymore. You were only 47 years old when you went to the hospital, not feeling well. They said you had pneumonia and treated you for that over three days. You had some strange symptoms which they never looked at, and told you to stop acting out and saying you forgot where you were. They then just sent you home, even though they were told you were not acting yourself. You went on with your life, just trying to carry on with working on a house with a friend, doing lawn work for neighbours, and cooking meals for the elderly on your street. A few days later, Mom could not find you and asked friends to help look. You were found in the house you and your friend were working on. You had died next to your friend's dog and he sat by you, whimpering. The police were called and they took your photo to show mom, as to I.D. you. She said you had a droop to one side of your face. The police officer, who had been an EMT in the past said it looked like a stroke. Later, after the autopsy, they said you had been having strokes for days, even when you were in the hospital. We found out you were gone on my husband's birthday. It didn't even seem real. I still can't comprehend it. I imagine you in your town just living your life and walking around like usual. You didn't make it to our shared birthday week but I had a cake made with both our names. You were here in spirit. We had a really hard childhood and your young adulthood was difficult but you totally turned your life around and were a caring person who we are all so very proud of. I'll see you soon brother.
Oh Terri, I am so very sorry for the loss of your brother. He was so young. Your journaling is so heartfelt, almost like a letter directly to Frank. The kits you chose and the composition of your page are perfect. Thank you for sharing the wonderful parts of your brother's life with us, and for playing along with the MOC day 26 challenge. Truly a beautiful tribute page.
