Lie wore coonskin cap and took in a tin cup that looks like something they used way back. The kids had a whole colonial town set up, and got to go to each place and learn how society worked back in the colonial days. They had "schools" for girls and boys separately. The boys attended The College of William and Mary where they learned to use the quill pen. The girls attended Dame school where they learned to sew. The kids learned how slaves were treated at Slave Quarters at a local plantation. They learned songs the slaves sang. They attended Bruton Parish Church and learned seating was arranged by who you were in the community. They visited and worked at a shoemakers shop and leaned about thriftiness. They relaxed at the Raleigh Tavern with root beer and snacks, and played a colonial board game!! Lots of fun!

What great idea to make the squares appear stitched it represents the time period so well. It appears they not only enjoyed themselves but learned a lot as well.
