Journalling: The story of Google

As our Josiah was a bit attached to one of his dolls we decided to be intentional about choosing a soft toy that he could get multiples of cheaply. We found this yellow thing to try it out. While Josiah didn’t take to it, Caleb did. As he became attached, we talked often about going to get three more. We didn’t want him attached and then loosing it and not being able to replace it. Time went by and we kept forgetting to get more. Finally, I remembered and bought three more. I was so excited to tell Peter when he came home….until he arrived a bit late one day and said, look what I got today! Yep, we remembered on the same day and ended up with 7 of them and needed a name! Long before ‘Google’ became a ‘thing’, Peter named it Google, a Maths word I’d never heard before! Caleb loved his Googles so much that I made his 4th birthday cake into a ‘Google’ cake and he loved it!
