Journaling reads: Ice cream is the number one food group in our house so of course we celebrate National Ice Cream Day! in 1984, President Ronald Regan proclaimed July as National Ice Cream month and established National Ice Cream day as the third Sunday in July. We consider it our civic duty to visit our local ice cream establishment and sample their finest confections on this - one of the most important holidays. Our favorite place to go is Heavenly Havens Creamery in downtown Allentown because they have something for everyone. Bennie insists on getting a cone, even though it becomes a sloppy mess every time. Colton likes it simple - one flavor in a wafer cone. And now that Bella is older, she goes big! She loves the chocolate covered sprinkle cones with a bunch of different flavors. Our favorite place to sit is the front porch so we can watch the cars go by.
