@MrsPeel, thanks for stopping by with your comment with authentic sharing of your own experiences. I've been trying to encourage snail mail or texts with my grandchildren for years. Trinity is definitely the most communicative of them so I'm happy. I fondly remember mail from my Aunt Priscilla when I was in college (and still hear from her) although we also sometimes text.
@mrs2a50, thank you. Yes, it is hard when her punishment affects me but really we are closer than I ever dreamed would be possible. I feel lucky that she is with an awesome foster family who has consistently welcomed me into their lives as her grandmother.
