Dang, I'm TOTALLY jealous of your great techniques here. The water color feel is awesome but how you did the partial b&w drawing feel intrigues me. I wanna try this big time!
Shannon, I followed Farrah's tutorial completely. She uses two separate layers, one with the picture and one with just the edges of the picture. I switched between the masks to bring them both out with my brushes.
I'm still learning a lot of this digital stuff, so I just follow tutorials & some of it sticks. HA!
