I didn't include any journaling on my original page because the experience was pretty raw still, so I included journaling this time.

"It was supposed to be a fun family vacation. Granted, anything with the extended family is bound to be chaos, but we were there for the kids, so they could make memories with their cousins and grandma and grandpa. I don’t know what set Mario off, but suddenly he was insisting that we leave and go do our own thing, go our own way. The hardest part about it was feeling like I was trying to deal with a temper tantrum instead of calm communication. We ended up going from Blanding, UT to Hesperus, CO to see the Albrecht family. It was wonderful to see them, but the trauma of the whole situation overshadowed the entire week. But as always, I was reminded that I am not alone. On a church marquee in Cortez, CO was written a message just for me....”give Jesus your mess.” Just like that, I felt seen and heard. I felt His love for me."
