- I was stranded in the snow, after my work Christmas Party. Black taxi's in London, are never fans of going South of the River and I got refused a ride by several taxi's (which is actually illegal). I flagged down a lorry going to a store near my home and the 2 guys driving it took pity on me and gave me a ride.
A random act of kindness got me home safe and sound.
I am aware that I got lucky and hitching a ride is not something I am ever going to do again.
